Joh.Jos. Prüm Riesling: Comprehensive Tasting

Riesling is one of the world’s great grapes and produces some of the most long-lived and food-friendly wines in the world. It can also be incredibly confusing to consumers trying to navigate complex labels and an incredible diversity of styles. Joh.Jos. Prüm is one of the most important estates in all of Germany. We will taste an impressive lineup of wines from this producer, including older vintages and a range of sweetness levels from Trocken (dry) to Auslese (fairly sweet). We will learn how to understand the labels on German Riesling and the meanings of the various Prädikat levels (Kabinett-Spätlese-Auslese-Beerenauslese-Trockenbeerenauslese). In addition, we will hear directly from Dr. Katharina Prüm, the winemaker at the estate who will join us either in a pre-recorded interview, or live via Zoom! This will be an incredible lineup with options to purchase some of these amazing wines for your Thanksgiving table.
